This function allows rates to be duplicated – most commonly from one Date Range/Price Code to another Price Code. Once the Service Option selections have been made, click on ‘Forward’ and the Rate Adjustment screen displays.
In this example, the option only has a Blank (Unassigned) Price Code for the date periods 01 Jan 09 to 31 Dec 09. This is in fact the Nett rate price code which has no markup at the database level. The task is to add price codes T1 (which has a 11.11% Markup), T2 12.5% markup) and T3 (15% markup) to each of the three date ranges. The option and the date ranges are shown below.

The common selection screen has been completed for the specific service option.
Apart from ensuring that the Service Option details are correct, the most important fields are the ‘Select Rates by’ Based on Date Fields From/To and the Price Code that is to be duplicated. Incorrect information is these two fields is the most common cause of rates not being selected for duplicating.
Click on the ‘Forward’ button to continue to the next screen.

New Price Code (Dropdown)
Select the New Price Code (the one being copied to) from the drop down list.
Change GB Cost By (Numeric 5.2)
A numeric value can be entered into this field and by selecting one of the two choices from the dropdown, indicate whether the value is a percentage (%) or a currency amount (Flat Rate). This field will adjust the values of the Group Cost column (shown in Screen Shot 107: Service Option to Rates Duplicated).
Round To Nearest (Dropdown)
Either of the 6 choices from the drop down can be selected. The choices are No rounding, Nearest 0.10, Nearest 0.50, Nearest 1.00, Nearest 5.00 or Nearest 10.00. Rounding is on the basis of up to .5 round down; over .5 round up.

Choices are to Retain Existing Currency or Change To. If change to is checked, the new cost currency can be selected from the drop down.

Sell Currency (Radio Button/Dropdown)
Choices are to Retain Existing Currency or Change To. If change to is checked, the new cost currency can be selected from the drop down.
DB Exchange Rate (Radio Button/Numeric)
If the buy and sell currencies in the service are different, then the exchange rate used to calculate the rate can be updated here (see Different Buy/Sell Currencies).
Rate Status (Dropdown)
The 6 choices from the dropdown enable the rate status to be retained or updated.
Attach Taxes (Radio Button)
This field gives the choice of either retaining any existing taxes that have been attached, have no taxes attached (None) or Selected. When the ‘Selected’ radio button is checked, the list of available taxes becomes available and the applicable tax(s) can be checked.
Set Apply Markup (Dropdown)
This choice can update the ‘Sell With Markup’ flag. The options are Retain Existing Value, Yes (will set the Sell With Markup Flag ‘On’), or No (will set the ‘Sell With Markup Flag ‘Off’)
Update Pax Breaks (Checkbox)
Checking this box ensures that all rates that are against any existing Pax Breaks are also updated.
Overwrite Existing Rates (Checkbox)
If rates already exist for some of the Service Option and Rate Selections made, then the existing rates will not be overwritten unless this box is checked. If the box is not checked and the system detects existing rates, the processing will not continue until the box is checked.
Maintain Selections (Checkbox)
Checking this box will hold the Rate Maintenance Selections already entered.
In the example, the Price Code T1 is going to be inserted, applying a 11.11% increase on the FastBook Cost rates and rounding to the nearest 1. All other values have been left as default.
When all choices have been made click the ‘Forward’ button to go to the next screen.

The rates selected for duplication are displayed. The order of the display can be changed by clicking on any of the column headings.
To process the rates, click the ‘Save’ button. A confirmation dialogue will advise that the rates are about to be duplicated. Click ‘OK’ to continue.
For the sake of the example, the process would now be repeated duplicating the rates for T2 and T3 price codes.
